What is the Money Purchase Annual Allowance?

The Money Purchase Annual Allowance (MPAA) is a reduced contribution limit that may apply after you have flexibly accessed taxable pension income. Once triggered, it can restrict how much you can contribute to defined contribution pensions in the future.

For the current tax year, the MPAA is £10,000, meaning total contributions to defined contribution pensions (including employer contributions and tax relief) are generally limited to this amount each year once it has been triggered.
